Do you have a specific idea in mind, or something you're looking for that doesn't match any existing model?

Custom work makes it possible to design a knife built around your use, your hand and the way you work or carry the piece. The conversation is the starting point: it allows us to establish clear technical choices and arrive at something coherent, functional and lasting.

What kinds of projects are possible

Custom orders cover:

  • knives designed to be used,
  • one-off pieces or adaptations of existing models,
  • projects consistent with the workshop's formal and technical language.

I do not produce reproductions based on licensed characters, intellectual property or protected universes, nor purely decorative pieces with no practical function. Every piece is designed to be functional, durable and balanced.

Bespoke creation and personalisation

Personalising an existing model

When an order consists of personalising a model already offered by the workshop (choice of materials, finishes, available options), a quote is drawn up directly, with no separately billed design phase. The project is then scheduled into the production calendar once the quote has been approved.

Bespoke creation

For projects involving the design of a specific piece (new shape, particular proportions, dedicated ergonomics), a design phase is required before a quote can be issued.

This phase may include:

  • in-depth discussions,
  • reflection on proportions and ergonomics,
  • preparatory sketches or drawings.

This work represents real time at the workshop and is charged as a fixed fee, independent of the manufacturing cost. At the end of this phase, a detailed quote is provided, giving you a clear framework in which to confirm the project.

Materials

To guarantee the quality, durability and safety of every piece made, all materials used in custom work are selected and supplied by the workshop.

I do not work with customer-supplied materials. This approach ensures a controlled foundation and a result that meets the workshop's technical and quality standards.

Approval and manufacture

Once the quote has been approved:

  1. a 50% deposit is required to begin manufacture,
  2. the piece is made in the workshop in accordance with the agreed specifications,
  3. photographs of the finished piece are shared,
  4. the remaining 50% balance is settled before dispatch.

This process ensures every order is handled within a clear and shared framework.

Lead times and availability

Custom work is accepted in limited numbers, depending on the workshop's schedule and the nature of the projects involved. Lead times vary according to the complexity of the piece and the technical choices made.

An initial conversation makes it possible to assess whether a project is feasible and to give an estimated timeframe before a quote is prepared.
